Why Am I Unhappy?

Why Am I Unhappy?

Why Am I Unhappy? I am unhappy for the excuses I make to justify feeling unhappy. I wake up every morning thinking of all the things that went wrong yesterday and what is bound to happen today. I think of all the people that are in my way and irritate the crap out of me. I think of the person next to me that does not love me anymore. I am unhappy because I feel sorry for myself and the situation I wake up to every day.
There are so many more countless justifications that I remind myself to keep me to be unhappy everyday all day long. At some point it will drive me crazy …. That is what is called a nervous breakdown.

How did we get this way?

Conditioning from a very young age? Life experience, trauma and or tragedy. There are so many situations that we allow to be responsible for our present day life. We become lazy and blame the easiest available thing or person and loved one. Instead of taking stock and owning the decision we made to be unhappy. You can list a page full of excuses to be unhappy and I can sing the praises of the reasons to be happy.

This is a journey we are on.

We are travelers experiencing different chapters in this wonderful trip we are on. We are writing a story for ourselves. Believe it or not we are in full control of the content. We can either write the story fully in control or we can allow others to have control of our story letting them place us as actors in theirs.
It is really simple to write your own happiness story. That is the only story we should focus on. The SIMPLICITY of Happiness story. We are the authors. We write it and no one else should be responsible for the content except ourselves. We struggle because of fear. We are afraid to be brave and adventurous. Find the hard roads to take. The hard roads are our passions and loves. The things that give us purpose. The situations that bring us joy and happiness. We are afraid to try those things that are perceived as too far reaching.
I have wanted to be a public speaker since I was very young. At one point I wanted to be a priest or a pastor because I thought that was an honorable way of helping people and I can still be standing in front of the masses to encourage and empower. I did that and it was not fulfilling. I did not feel myself. I was more stressed out. I am now a mentor of happiness. I am a Happiness Coach. I am whatever you want to call someone that wants to teach people the SIMPLICITY of Happiness to anyone and everyone.

I have my dream.

I have the reality that I want to transfer from a dream reality to a physical reality. I want to stand in front of hundreds of people at once speaking to their hearts. I thought that this feat was only through a physical sense. How naive I am. I can reach millions by speaking on the internet through different social media platforms. I still offer myself face to face. I want to be available to everyone.
I thought my dream was unattainable. I was not happy because I thought I was not good enough. I convinced myself it was impossible. So I started to believe this for years. One day I realized I can convince myself to believe the opposite. I was a very late bloomer when it came to my artistic ability. I was called an artist for the first time in my life when I was 43 years old. It was amazing. I believed I was an artist. I acted as an artist. Then I was in a gallery and I was thought of as an artist from that day forward. I created my own reality.
You can create your own happiness the same way. Believe, and then just be. Eventually your physical world will catch up to your dreams. Happiness will consume you because you will believe that is what you feel every day. Try it. Ask Yourself Happiness? – Guest Post

Is anybody happier because you passed their way?

Is anybody happier because you spoke to them today?

Were you selfish plain and simple as you rushed along your way?

Or is someone mighty grateful for a deed you did today?

Can you say in parting with the day that’s slipping past

You helped a single person in the many that you’ve passed?

Is a single heart rejoicing over what you did or said?

Or is someone whose hopes were fading,

Now with courage looking ahead?

Did you waste a day or lose it, was it well or poorly spent?

Did you leave a trail of kindness, or a scar of discontent?

As you close your eyes in slumber, do you think that God would say

You have one more tomorrow for the work you did today?

Can You Let Go?

Can you let go of the hate. Are you able to love. How low do you need to get in your life to realize that you need to survive. There are so many things that distract us from our happiness and joy.sometimes I sit in public and I just watch people observing meditating. People are always looking down at their feet at their cell phone never making eye contact. Technology is a marvelous thing but it also keeps connecting with one another. People are always in a rush never taking the time to see the beauty around. In a Restaurant..five people in a family all on their cell phone how did we get there? Who knows maybe they’re texting each other and they’re shy.

It is never too late to break that cycle of detachment. We just need to look up into each other’s eyes into each other souls and love one another.

Time flies by before you know it you’re a grandparent children are adults you have wrinkles and gray hair everything ps Time flies by before you know it you’re a grandparent children are adults you have wrinkles and gray hair everything is sagging.
If you’re young slow down look around ..if your old slow down look around and enjoy the sky when you take walks around town.. enjoy life at a slow pace.

These are just my thoughts for the moment this is what I think about every day I worry society is losing sight of who we are and what we are and what we’re supposed to be .

I Love You

A Definition of Happiness from an anonymous source……

Definition Essay: Happiness

Happiness. It is not measurable, profitable, nor tradable. Yet, above all else in the world, it is what people seek. They want to have happiness, and want to know they have a lot of it. But happiness, like air or water, is a hard thing to grasp in one’s hand. It is intangible. So how does one know if they have it? Is it just a feeling? And if someone does not feel happy, how can they go about achieving that feeling?

Happiness is not measured by material wealth. A new car or television, a waterskiing boat or a three-level house does not equate to joyful feelings. They are status symbols, surely, and ones that make others assume a person is happy, but they do not guarantee a happy life. The clichéd phrase, “money can’t buy happiness,” is heard often… because it is true. People who have wealth can be unhappy, just as the poor can be living on cloud nine. Possessions can be gained and lost, and with that comes fear. And fear rarely leads to happiness.

So if it isn’t ‘stuff’ that achieves happiness, then what can? Well, goals can. People need to have a sense of purpose. It is no coincidence that Peanuts creator Charles Schultz died a week after ending his famous comic strip. Without a purpose, he was lost. But people that have a sense of purpose in their life often have a feeling of satisfaction about them. They sense they were put on this planet for a reason. To each person, this purpose can be different. Maybe they were meant to teach. Maybe they were meant to mother. Maybe they were meant to learn. And goals can be small things, like taking an extra moment each day to breathe. But having progress in life, a feeling of forward motion, can make people feel happy.

But taking that forward motion too far can be a bad thing. Success at the expense of everything else, for example, leads to the opposite of happiness. Life requires balance. And people that understand that there is a balance to work and play, strife and joy, are more in tune with the universe and, therefore, better able to achieve happiness. Life with a dose of humor is more pleasant. Comedians, compared to any other profession, live the longest because they understand that laughter adds the spice to life, and makes daily progress worth the minor tribulations.

So people can be happy if they have something to strive for and something to laugh about. But is that it? Can people with goals and a sense of humor still be unhappy? Well, yes. After all, the final key to happiness is the decision to actually be happy. Human nature can see negative energy anywhere. People can fixate on problems instead of solutions. So at the end of the day, “happiness depends upon ourselves.” (Aristotle). As Lincoln said, “Most folks are as happy as they make up their minds to be.”

Being happy with who you are and what you have, is a decision that has to be consciously made. Goals can help lead to happiness. Finding laughter in life is important. But at the end of the day, a person needs to make a choice about happiness. They need to agree they want it, deserve it, and have it.
